I always enjoy visiting the Sand Dunes Ranch whether it's to
look at a new horse, go for a ride, or watch Dale train a young colt.
The ranch is a great place to try out a new horse as the terrain varies from
sand dune hills, sage brush and trails through the trees to the river.
Dale is always eager to saddle any horse I'm interested in and usually has a
few to choose from.
Dale went out of his way to make sure I found the
right horse. Ernie seems like the perfect match for me with his ranch
and trails background. He has a real laid back disposition, is very
affectionate, well broke and very responsive. His trot and lope are
both very smooth and he is always willing. He is easy to ride and I
feel very relaxed on him.
I'm looking forward to warmer weather when we
can get back in the mountains, back in the water, and back with the cattle.
